Edward Seben Obituary

Edward Gilbert Seben, 84, of Saltsburg, Pa. passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 following a lengthy illness. He was born on Tuesday, May 21, 1940, the son of the late Andrew and Mary (Spelock) Seben of Avonmore. He was a graduate of Bell-Avon High School where he was the captain of the football and basketball teams. He was an employee at Akers National Roll for 30 years until his retirement. Ed was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, the Italian Club #190 of Avonmore, the Kiski Twp. Sportsmen’s Club and the Kiski Beagle Club. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also liked spending time at the casino. Ed was a family man and adored his three granddaughters. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Donna (Bevilacqua) Seben of Saltsburg, two daughters Tricia Grimm and Tracy (Brad) Trybus both of Avonmore and three granddaughters, Alyssa Grimm of Avonmore, Jenna Trybus of New Stanton and Amanda Trybus of Avonmore. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Andy (Sonny) Seben, a sister Margaret (Margie) Bartlebaugh, a nephew, Larry Seben, and a son-in-law, Carl Grimm. At his request, there will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 505 Cambria Ave., Avonmore, Pa. with Father Mark Dunmire as Celebrant. Interment will be held at Westview Cemetery, Avonmore, Pa.
