Edward Jacob Porter

Edward Jacob Porter, 57, of Vandergrift, Pa. passed from this life on Sunday evening July 28, 2024, after a brief illness.  Ed was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also a collector of antiques fishing equipment. Ed was a longtime member of the Cherry Run Sportsman Club and a lifetime member of Burrell Township Volunteer Fire Dept. He is survived by his daughter, Meghan Porter and her partner Casey Hammer of South Park, Pa., his father Earl Porter and his sister, Rosemarie Porter of Burrell Twp and numerous family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Melaine Dilick Porter and his partner of 14 years, Joyce Shellhammer. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
