Dorothy Catherine (Connor) Cercone

Dorothy C. Connor Cercone, 98, of Murrysville, Pa.(for the last 10 years), formerly of Shadyside, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at her home. She was born on Thursday, July 12, 1923 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of the late John and Catherine Deeds Connor. Dorothy enjoyed walking around the Highland Park Reservoir, was a member of the Teamster’s Woman’s Auxiliary and loved to dance; as many times as 4 times a week. She was married to her late husband for 40 years. Dorothy met Donald Vitous and they danced and cared for each other for many years. She is survived by her children Joan Marie Chiea of Delmont, Kenneth Cercone of Murrysville and Kim May and her husband, Jim, of Murrysville, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rick A. Cercone in 1984, her sons, Ricky and Scotty Cercone, her sisters, Ruth Davis and Evelyn Hamilton, her son in law, John Chiea, her daughter in law, Shirley Cercone and her dance partner and friend, Donald Vitous.  Send condolences to kimcmay820@icloud.com.  Funeral arrangements were private and entrusted to the Kelly L.
