Donald Lee Whitlinger

Donald Lee Whitlinger, 81 of Apollo passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday October 1, 2021 at his home. He was born Monday December 11, 1939 in Apollo the son of the late Leslie Hugh and Goldie Mae Wilcox Whitlinger. Before his retirement he was employed by Apollo Fabricating in the blueprint department. Don attended the First Lutheran Church in Apollo. He enjoyed yard work, jigsaw puzzles, and eating out. His true passion was his flowers. He will always be remembered as a pleasant, gracious and personable man who “lit up a room by simply entering it”. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Richard Whitlinger, and his sister-in-law Erma Whitlinger. Donald is survived by his partner of 24 years, James E. Myers. Family suggests memorial contributions be made In Don’s memory to the The American Heart Association, 777 Penn Center Blvd, Unit 200, Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania 15235. A Memorial Service to honor Don’s life will be held at a later date.
