Donald Franklin “Whiskers” Clepper, 78, of Apollo, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville, Pa. He was born Saturday, May 18, 1940, in Apollo, the son of the late Harry and Martha E. Anthony Clepper. Before his retirement, he was employed by Copney Sanitation as a truck driver. Don was a Life member (50 Years) of the Kiski Twp. Fire Department #1. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and tinkering with cars and trucks. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lola Jean Cessna Clepper, a son, Donald H. Clepper and his wife Jan of Apollo, a daughter, Cathy Soback and her husband William of Apollo, 2 grandchildren, Dawn M. Smith and Michael A. Clepper both of Apollo, a brother Larry Clepper and his wife Anna of New Kensington, 2 sisters, Wilda Pierce and her husband Samuel “Paul” of Apollo and Susie Welton and her husband Melvin “Sam” of Ford City. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Lawrence “Jr” and Carl Clepper and a sister, Anna May Moore. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 1916 Moore Ave., North Apollo, Pa. An addition hour of viewing will be held one hour prior to services and will begin at 10:00A.M. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 11:00AM in the funeral home, John Cessna will officiate. Interment will follow in Spring Church Lutheran Cemetery.
