Debra Marie (Fryer) Burkett

Debra Marie Fryer Burkett, 70, of Apollo, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at West Penn Hospital, in Pittsburgh.  She was born Wednesday, April 9, 1952, in Moween, the daughter of the late Joseph L. and Goldie M. Beaver Fryer.  Debra took pride in being a homemaker and putting her family first.  She enjoyed talking to friends on Facebook, watching soap operas, collecting dream catchers, working outside and watching the deer and birds and other wild life from her porch.  She enjoyed eating out and especially loved rainbow sherbet.  She is survived by three children, Cindy Pert and her husband, Tim, of Hyde Park, Michael Kostelansky of Indiana, and Brandon Kostelansky of Apollo, five grandchildren, Ashly, Alyssa, Dominic, Piper and Leah and two great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by a sister, Sandy Sobek of Clairton, and a brother, Joseph Fryer, of Philadelphia.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Fryer, and a sister, Linda Wachina.  Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 16, 2022, from 4 PM to 8 PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home,1916 Moore Avenue, North Apollo, Pa. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 17, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Reverend J.P. Price officiating.  Interment will follow in Spring Church Cemetery.
