Debby A. Shotts Mitchell, 65, of Apollo, Pa., passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022, earning her wings by how she lived her life. Debby lived in Ford Cliff until she met and married her husband. She lived her last 34 years in North Washington, Pa.
She was a hairstylist/manager at various salons including Cost Cutters and Fantastic Sams throughout her 35 year career. Debby was a people person. She enjoyed being around and talking to people
Debby liked going on family camping trips to many state parks but mainly liked Cook Forest and was also a NASCAR fan that enjoyed going to races at Pocono Raceway. Although she was not a fan of the Steelers, Penn State football and the Penguins, she became one shortly after her marriage to her husband.
Debby spent her quiet time doing cross stitching and crocheting. She loved to crochet baby afghans for expecting family members and friends. She liked to play spades and solitaire along with doing crossword puzzles. Debby spent many hours painting ceramics for her family and friends as gifts.
She enjoyed reading mainly fantasy stories and collected most of Steven King’s books.
Debby is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, John E. Mitchell, her two sons; Christopher J. Mitchell of North Apollo and Daniel E. Mitchell and his wife, Kathy, of Apollo, her two granddaughters; Sophie A. Mitchell and Candace C. Mitchell and her grandson; James L. Mitchell.
