David Burton Hill

David Burton Hill, 89, Salina, Pa., passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Redstone Highlands in Greensburg, Pa. He was born on Thursday, January 11, 1934 in Avonmore, Pa. the son of the late David F. and Inza B. Day Hill. He was a United States Navy Veteran having served during the Korean War. Dave was a member of the Slickville American Legion Post 18, the Slovak Club and the Lithuanian Club in East Vandergrift. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, golf and watching all of the Pittsburgh sports teams. He especially loved his family and his grandchildren. He is survived by his children; David B. Hill Jr. and his wife, Cynthia, of Vandergrift and Galen D. Hill of Salina, his grandchildren; Joshua J. Hill (Emily) of Erie, Christina M Hill of Slickville, David B. Hill III and his wife, Brianna, of Fuguay-Vacina, NC and Cassandra M Hill of Vandergrift and his great grandchildren; Zane, Brodey and Farah Ann Hill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Mary Ann Stem Hill, sister; Mary L. Klingensmith and his brothers; Charles and Donald Hill. Family will receive friends at the Kelly L Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa., on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 10:00 AM until time of services at Noon. Pastor Lee Rupert will officiate. Interment will be held at Westview Cemetery, Avonmore, Pa.
