CLARENCE ‘BUD’ EUGENE HALL
Clarence E. Hall, 95, of Churchill Borough, died January 29, 2021 in Monroeville, PA. Clarence, “Bud”, was born on October 11, 1925, to Alice Berger Hall and Clarence S. Hall and lived in Wilkinsburg with his eight siblings. He attended Westinghouse High School. Bud married the love of his life, Betty L. Porter, in 1943 at the age of 17. They were happily married for 65 years until Betty’s death in 2009.
Clarence was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He enlisted in 1943 and was later commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant and Bombardier. He later served 11 years in the reserves, receiving Honorable Discharge in 1961. Clarence attended Davidson College in North Carolina and Morton Business School in Pittsburgh, PA, and later earned his CPA. Clarence ran his own accounting office from 1953 to 1983.
Bud and Betty loved to travel together, both domestically and internationally. During his lifetime, Bud also enjoyed music and dancing, snowmobiling, sailing, golfing, playing poker and billiards.
Betty and Bud have three surviving children: Dennis (Joan Bruno), Ronald (Barbara Shiflet), and Nancy (Edward Dumont); six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren (and four step great-grandchildren); two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Shirley; and many nieces and nephews. Bud was grateful for his family and many friends.
Interment will be private.
