Chester “Chelo” Nagg, 81, of Clarksburg, Pa. passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023, in his home that he proudly built in 1987, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Friday, February 27, 1942, in Nowrytown, Pa., the son of the late Andrew and Stella Gryczuck Nagg. Chelo worked for Federal Laboratories in Tunnelton, was a laborer with the local union #910 construction and worked at Torrance Hospital. He loved spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren growing up to be amazing adults. Chelo enjoyed singing, playing guitar and playing harmonica with his wife. He spent numerous hours in the garden with Gloria, enjoyed watching the Steeler games and loved his “occasional” beer while socializing both with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gloria Quick Nagg of Clarksburg, two sons, David A. Nagg and his wife Leann of Clarksburg, Rodney C. Nagg of Clarksburg and his daughter, Tammy Jo Hollingsworth of New Hampshire and two grandchildren, Carly Street and her husband, Justin of Plum and Colton Nagg of Clarksburg. A great grandchild is on the way in April of 2024. He is also survived by two brothers, Joe Nagg and his wife, Twila of Erie and Jack Nagg and his wife, Ellen of Iselin and five sisters, Lucille Humbert of Pittsburgh, Linda Bragen of Alabama, Bernie Libengood of Saltsburg, Debbie Chicka and her husband, Darrin of Saltsburg and Phyllis Jones and her husband, Chuck of Saltsburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Andy and Stanley Nagg and his sisters, Betty Piwowar and Margaret Pochedley. At Chelo’s request, all visitation arrangements were private and entrusted to Corridoni Funeral Services, Inc., 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. Graveside Services will be conducted on Friday, December 22,2023, at 1:00 PM at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont, Pa. with Pastor Lorraine Henry, officiating. Family is encouraged to attend.
