Charles Richard Spallone

Charles Richard Spallone, 76, of Saltsburg passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Friday, March 7, 1947, in Hannastown, Pa., the son of the late George and Anna Lofcheck Spallone. Chuck was a United States Army Veteran. Before his retirement, Chuck worked on road construction for over 45 years and then finally retired from Norwin Construction Company in 2000. He was a Saltsburg elementary and junior high basketball coach for 10 years from 1986 to 1996. Chuck loved going to the casino (playing the Buffalo machine), walking, and loved watching his grandchildren in all their sports events. He was an avid Steeler fan. He was a lifetime member of the Hannastown Fire Hall and a parishioner of St. Matthew Catholic Church.  He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna Kokladas Spallone of Saltsburg, his daughter; Jennifer Woodring and her husband, Lonny of Saltsburg, his son; Rick Spallone and his wife, Amanda of Blairsville, four grandchildren; Emily, Luke and Jake Woodring and Bryson Spallone, his sister; Irene Joyce of Josephine, his brother-in-law; John Kokladas and his wife, Linda of Glenshaw, his sister-in-law; Karyl Rizzo and her husband, Carl of Bethel Park and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his five sisters; Antoinette Gramlick, Elizabeth Ferigo, Marie Tucciarone, Louise Lane and in infancy, Joanne Spallone, his three brothers; Anthony, George and Joseph Spallone and his father-in-law and mother-in-law; John and Jean Battistelli Kokladas.  Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Corridoni Funeral Services, Inc., 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church, 703 Indiana Ave., Saltsburg, Pa with Father Tyler Bandura as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Matthew Church Cemetery, Saltsburg, Pa.
