Charles Elmer Peace, 89, of Saltsburg, Pa. passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at his home. He was born on Thursday, May 10, 1934, in Moween, Pa., the son of the late John Earl and Margaret Fern Fisher Peace. Before his retirement, he worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and finished his career in the coal mines. He was a United States Army Veteran who served with The Eminent Society of Border Legionnaires in Germany. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, playing his guitar and banjo, looking for ginseng and loved antique cars. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lorraine Harriet King Peace of Saltsburg, his children; Charles Elmer Peace Jr. and his wife, Debbie of Hilewood, David Earl Peace of Clymer and Timothy Ray Peace and his wife, Tracey of Apollo, 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 2 grandchildren; Timothy A. Peace and Juliette O. Reed, his sisters; Mary Trail and Nancy Hinton and his brothers; John Earl Peace and Robert Lee Peace. Family will receive friends on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Corridoni Funeral Services, Inc., 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. Funeral Services will follow at 1:30 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Lee Rupert and Pastor Donna Scholl, officiating. Interment will take place at Ridge View Cemetery in Elders Ridge with full Military Honors.
