Celia Anthony Riffer, 87, of Apollo (Kiski Twp.), Pa, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Pa. She was born on Tuesday, July 31, 1934 in Burrell Township, the daughter of the late Dalles F. and Soloma Ann Frick Anthony. She was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Brick Church, Pa. Celia volunteered for the Meals on Wheels in Apollo for many years and volunteered at Torrance State Hospital in Blairsville and at West Haven in Apollo. She enjoyed crocheting, camping, outdoor work, gardening and made “awesome” cookies. She was famous for her “ten” chocolate chip cookies. Celia enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. She is survived by several nieces and nephews with whom she had a special and loving relationship. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Dale E. Riffer, her brothers; Lee H. and James A. Anthony, her sisters; Beulah E. Brown, Evelyn Elizabeth J. Peterman, Margaret Mae Cessna and Lucy M. Reigh and infant sisters; Flora, Helen and Nellie Anthony. Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 1916 Moore Ave., North Apollo, Pa. An additional hour of viewing will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM when funeral services will begin. Pastor Bob Shallenberger will officiate. Interment will be held at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Brick Church, Pa.
