Carl "Butch" Patrick Noonan Jr.

Carl “Butch” Patrick Noonan Jr, 71, of Avonmore, Pa. passed away peacefully with prayers surrounded by his family on Friday, July 18, 2025, at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh, Pa., following injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.  He was born on Friday, October 9, 1953, in Spring Hill, Pa the son of Carol Ann Marak Zaborowski of Tinsmill, Pa. and the late Carl Patrick Noonan Sr. He enjoyed fishing, had a great sense of humor and loved teasing everyone and when he walked into a room, he “lit it up”. Butch was a proud and loving father and grandpa, and Joan was the love of his life. He was employed with Tresco Paving as a truck driver in the asphalt division for over 10 years. He was a United States Army Veteran. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving companion, Joan Foley of Avonmore, his son, Micah Noonan and his wife, Mary of Hillsboro, Al., Joan’s children who Butch considered his own, Bruce Cridlebaugh of Avonmore, Megan Kunkle of Avonmore and Christie Copper (Justin Hice) of Tinsmill, 6 grandchildren, Grayson Noonan, Bentley Dotson, Evelyna Kunkle, Emmett Copper, Maggilyn Kunkle and Jocelyn Hice, his brother, Steven V. Noonan and his wife, Shirley Jean of Tinsmill and his sister Kathy Lynn Hufsteller of Florida and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the Tresco Family and the employees who became friends for their ongoing support during Butch’s fight with cancer. The family wishes to thank all the doctors and staff at UPMC Mercy who assisted in his care. A special heartfelt thanks to all the heroes who did not just stand on the sidelines but made every effort to save Butch’s life. A Celebration of Life will be held at the family’s convenience at a later date.
