Bruce Allen Miller

Bruce Allen Miller, 61, of Apollo, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at UPMC East in Monroeville, Pa. He was born on Sunday, April 26, 1959, the son H. Bernard and Martha E. Catchpole Miller. Before his retirement, he was a manager for Ace Hardware for 33 years. He was a lifetime member of Apollo Hose Co. #2 where he served as chief, lieutenant and Vice President as well as a trustee. Bruce was a 2nd generation lifetime member of the fire department. He enjoyed fishing especially with his grandchildren.  His family and his grandchildren were his world and he will be missed by his dog, Mr. Gibbs. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Shelby Lynn Ridenour Miller, his daughter, Jodie Edder and her husband, Nick, of Parks Twp., his grandchildren, Emma and Noah Edder, his brothers, Gary Gardner and his wife, Vivian,  of Apollo and Bernie Miller and his wife, Marilyn, of Plum, his sisters, Debbie Amendola and her husband, Lonny, of West Sunbury, Barb Wilmot and her husband, Dave, of Apollo and Carla Kunkle of Apollo and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bruce’s memory to the Apollo Hose Company #2.  All funeral arrangements were private.
