Boyd Eugene Doverspike, 85, of Avonmore, Pa. (Bell Twp.) went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Monday, April 26, 1937 in Apollo, Pa. the son of the late George and Ethel Zimmerman Doverspike. Boyd was the owner/operator of Doverspike Kitchens for over 40 years. He married the love of his life in May of 1957 at the Salina Bible Church. He enjoyed golfing, woodworking, camp fires while drinking wine with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife; of sixty-five years Sandra Shoupe Doverspike, his children; Richard “Rick” Doverspike and his wife Nancy of Avonmore, Rhonda Campbell and her husband, Ken, of Saltsburg, Jody Manofsky and her husband, Matt, of Vandergrift and Jamie Doverspike of Winston Salem, NC, 6 grandchildren; Jessica Lynn Manofsky and her husband, Steve, of Apollo, Richard Doverspike Jr of Leechburg, Tyler Doverspike of Leechburg, Ashley Lovas of Tampa, FL, James Boyd Wilson and Rachel of Saltsburg and Lindsey Mapstone and her husband, Adam, of Avonmore, 7 great grandchildren, his sister; Irene Hobaugh of Birdsboro, Pa. and his brothers; Harry Doverspike of Apollo and Franklin Doverspike of Salina. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister; Flora Baldwin and a brother; Samuel Doverspike. Family will receive friends on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kelly L Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. 15618. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Kiski Unity Free Methodist Church, 29 Greenbrier Dr., Leechburg, Pa. 15656. Pastor Paul Eckenrode will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Boyd’s memory to Kiski Unity Free Methodist Church.
