Barbara Irene (Shaw) King

Barbara Irene Shaw King, 72, of Avonmore, Pa. (Kiski Twp) passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at her home. She was born on Saturday, September 5, 1953, in Johnstown, Pa., the daughter of the late Harry B. Sr. and Betty Jane Schrengost Shaw. She loved crafting, ceramics, shopping, crocheting and attending her nephews football games. Her favorite thing was going to the casino. She is survived by her stepchildren, Shirley Hobbins and her husband, George of Hyde Park and Keith King and his wife, Mary of Templeton, her sister, Virginia Doland of Avonmore and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. King, her sisters, Linda Baker, Debra Galloway and Brenda Shearer and her brothers, Daniel Shaw and Herman Shaw. A graveside burial will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Brick Lutheran Church Cemetery with Pastor Lee Rupert, officiating.
