Arlene Ruth (Besserer) Huthmaker

Arlene Ruth Besserer Huthmaker, 88, of Leechburg, Pa. passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Quality Life Services in Apollo, Pa. She was born on Tuesday, October 13, 1936, in Cleveland, Oh. the daughter of the late Charles W. Jr. and Edna Stucki Besserer. Arlene was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Avonmore, Pa. She enjoyed gardening, baking, especially her famous  apple pies and loved to make lasagna to share  with others. She was an avid musician who played the piano and organ at many churches since the time she was 12 years old. She played for her beloved church for over 20 years. She adored the members of her church and had many friends there. Arlene raised 6 children and was a selfless person who sacrificed her own needs for everyone. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Carlson and her husband, Steve of Bend, Or., Debbie Fogelsong and her husband, Tom of Naperville, Il., Chuck Huthmaker and his wife, Stacy of Harmony, Pa., Tom Huthmaker and his wife, Martye of Severn, Md., John Huthmaker of Benton, Ar. and Carolyn Harris and her husband, Mark of Leechburg, Pa., 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a twin sister, Marlene Klaehn and her husband, Russ of North Royalton, Oh. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, 518 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. 15618 with Reverend Rodney Murray, officiating. Interment will follow a Westview Cemetery in Avonmore.
