Allen Carl Umbaugh 82, of Kiski Twp., passed away on Sunday August 3, 2025, in Monongahela, Pa surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Friday March 12, 1943, in Apollo, Pa., the son of the late Samuel A. and Violet Kane Umbaugh. Before his retirement he was employed by Canterbury Coal Company as a proud coal miner. Allen ended his working career as an Iron worker. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, having served in Viet Nam. Allen was a life member of the VFW. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to camp in Cameron County, and watching old westerns, especially Gunsmoke on TV. Allen was a country western music fan who loved listening to George Jones. He is survived by three children: Lisa Ann Umbaugh, James A. Umbaugh and his wife Kristi of Monongahela, and Jason A. Umbaugh and his wife Erin of Ford City, a granddaughter, Melinda McCarthy of Hyde Park and two great grandsons; Brayden and Hunter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Dawn Knepshield Umbaugh in 2018, a sister, Doris McMahon and three brothers: Richard, Theodore, and Clyde “Leroy” Umbaugh. Visitation and Services will be PRIVATE. Interment will follow in Spring Church Lutheran Cemetery.
