William J. "Butch" Orvosh

William James “Butch” Orvosh 73 of Saltsburg (Nowrytown) passed away Tuesday September 19, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 8, 1944 in Nowrytown the son of the late Andrew and Helen Braznick Orvosh. Before his retirement he was employed by Composidie ( Washington Twp.) For over 26 years in shipping and receiving. “Butch was a 1962 graduate of Saltsburg High School, a member of the Nowrytown Sportsmen’s Club, the C&Y Sportsmen’s Club, and a social member of the American Legion Post 57 in Saltsburg. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and playing cards. He is survived by his wife of forty- six years, Sharon Lee Buchanan Orvosh, a daughter, Amy Shaulis and her husband John of Iselin, two grandchildren; Kaylee and Mason, four sisters; Josephine “Tootsa” Grimm and her husband Carl of Avonmore, Dorothy Wilden and her husband Thomas of Marion Center, Margaret Davis of Walden, New York, and Mary Ghiardi of Nowrytown, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers; John, Andrew “Gumps”, Edward, Michael “Spike”, and Robert Orvosh, and a sister, Helen Cup. Family will receive friends on Thursday September 21, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. until time of Services at 8:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 400 Indiana Ave. Avonmore, Pa. Services will be conducted in the funeral home at 8:00 P.M. with Pastor Bob Shallenberger officiating. Interment will be private.
