Theodore Dean Umbaugh 78 of Avonmore passed away on Sunday July 28, 2019 at his home. He was born Wednesday January 8, 1941 in Apollo the son of the late Samuel A. and Violet Kane Umbaugh. He made the United States Navy his career. After leaving the Navy and before retiring he owned and operated the Scuttlebutt Bar in Leechburg and Umbaugh Salvage in Kiski Twp. He was a hard worker, who also loved gardening, football and socializing. He was happiest spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by two children; Terri D. Warner (Kenneth Hilty) of Apollo and Theodore D. Umbaugh Jr. and his wife Lisa of Avonmore, four grandchildren; Danielle Love of Vandergrift, Doreen Hooks and her husband Alex of Leechburg, Andrew Huska of Sharon, and Thomas D. Umbaugh of Brookline, three great grandchildren, three Brothers; Richard Umbaugh and his wife Brenda of Peltzer, South Carolina, Leroy Umbaugh and his wife Shirley of Hookstown, and Allen Umbaugh of Avonmore, a sister, Doris McMahon-Bassett of Cabot, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Effie Mae Shaw Umbaugh in 1995. Family will receive friends on Wednesday July 31, 2019 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 400 Indiana Ave. Avonmore. Full Military Honors will be conducted Graveside at 2:30 P.M. in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo.
