Steven Mark Steffan

Steven Mark Steffan, 74, of Avonmore, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at his home. He was born on Wednesday, November 1, 1944 in Leechburg, the son of the late Steven F. and Elizabeth Popovich Steffan. He was a member of St. Sylvester Roman Catholic Church and was very active as a lector at all 3 partner parishes. Mark was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society. He was an avid reader and a news and political addict. He loved to work and tinker on everything. He is survived by a brother, Joseph Steffan of Austin,Tx., a sister, Mary Elizabeth “Betsy” Steffan  of Avonmore, his grandchild, Shelby Byers , 3 great grandchildren, Gracelyn, Bennett and Julianna and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Steffan.  A Burial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 505 Cambria Ave., Avonmore, Pa. at 10:00AM, with Deacon Dan Frescura, officiating. Interment will be private.  All arrangements have been entrusted to the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home, 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa.
