McClure Christopher “Chris” Adams, 81, of Saltsburg, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Wednesday, July 30, 1937, in Saltsburg, the son of the late Harry and Carrie Johns Adams. He was self-employed as a carpenter, and he served in the United States Army Reserves. He enjoyed drawing, comics, building and woodworking. Chris graduated from Saltsburg High School in 1956. He is survived by a son, Richard “Rick” Adams and his wife Tracy, daughters, Jodi Mainville, and Ranee Claxton and her husband Richard all of Lake Havasu, Arizona, Kim Adams of Middleburg Heights, Ohio and Janel Shearer and her husband, Tom, of Slickville, eight grandchildren, Michael Adams, Christina Quick and her husband, John, Joshua Claxton, Stephanie Robertson and her husband, Nolan, Nickolas Sivillo, Cherish Risinger and her husband, Josh, Ashley Shearer and Gage Shearer, three great grandchildren, Talon and Carson Risinger, and Mia Shearer, two sisters, Dorothy “Dot” Seger and Faye Fletcher and her husband Chuck all of Saltsburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Bortz Adams, step father (who raised him) John Orvosh, and a brother, Harry Adams, in childhood. At his request, all services are private. The arrangements have been entrusted to the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home, Ltd., 400 Indiana Avenue, Avonmore, PA.
