Mary Irene Zacklene

Mary Irene Forney Zacklene, 94, of Vandergrift, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at West Haven Manor in Apollo, Pa. She was born Sunday March 30, 1924, the daughter of the late Lemule and Mable Irene Schultz Forney in Leechburg, Pa. She enjoyed reading, doing crosswords, crocheting and baking. She was famous for her homemade bread and buns. She is survived by 3 children, Anthony Zacklene and his wife Mary Lynn of Vandergrift, John E. Zacklene and his wife Sylvia of Leechburg and Mary L. Szymczak and her husband Ron of Vandergrift, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Zacklene Sr., a son, David E. Zacklene, 2 brothers, Lemule and Bob Forney and 3 sisters, Thelma Brunotte, Mable Hughes and Jane Dicky. At her request, all funeral arrangements were private.
