Malcolm “Mac” Eugene Emerick, 92, of Apollo, Pa, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at West Haven Manor, Apollo, PA. The son of the late Raymond and Jeanette Pavit Emerick, he was born November 13, 1925, in Brackenridge, PA. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vandergrift, PA. Before his retirement Mac was a railroad brakeman, at Allegheny Ludlum, for over 40 years. Malcolm was a United States Navy Veteran. He enjoyed boating on the Allegheny, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Ella May Skelton Emerick, a son, Donald E. Emerick (Christine) of Apollo, a daughter, Rebecca L. Williams, San Diego, CA. Two sisters, June Walker, Washington Township, and Joann Treflner, Natrona Heights, 4 grandchildren, Jason Emerick (Ashley), Allegheny Township, Jessica Emerick, Apollo, Melissa Mendoza (Josue), San Diego, CA, and Ryan Williams (Krystal), of Virginia, 3 great grandchildren, Sawyer, Max and Dominick. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, David Williams. Family will receive friends on Friday, July, 6, 2018, from 4 PM to 6 PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home, LTD, 1916 Moore Avenue, N. Apollo, PA. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on July 6, 2018, at 6 PM with Pastor Michael Mrasz officiating. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, The Pennsylvania Apartments, 1100 Liberty Avenue, Suite E 201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. Interment will be private.
