Janet Louise (Adams) Shondelmyer

Janet Louise Adams Shondelmyer, 80, of Saltsburg, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at St. Andrews Village in Indiana, Pa. She was born on Tuesday, February 8, 1938 in Saltsburg, the daughter of the late Ray and Goldie Johns Adams. She was a fantastic baker and had a natural “green thumb” making it easy to care for her beautiful plants, she enjoyed shopping and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl  A. Yackubosky of Plumville and Jodie L. Shearer and her husband, Dan, of Nowrytown, a son, Donald R. Shondelmyer (Susan) of Saltsburg, 5 grandchildren, Anthony J. Yakubosky Jr. and his wife, Amy, of Indiana, Troy A. Yakubosky and his wife, Laura, of Indiana, Amy L. Sabedra of Saltsburg , Kristine Stine and her husband, JC, of Saltsburg and Lacey Czerniec and her husband,, Brandon, of Saltsburg, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald K. Shondelmyer in 2013, 2 brothers, Ernest “Bud” and Leonard “Tunt” Adams, 3 sisters, Edna Frye, Eunice Keltz, Jane Sexton and a brother in infancy, Everet Adams. Family will receive friends on Friday, December  14, 2018 from  4PM to 8PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 8PM with Pastor James Stine, officiating. Interment will be held at Edgewood Cemetery and will be private.
