Helen LaRue (George) Wolford

Helen LaRue George Wolford 94 of Vandergrift (Parks Twp.) passed away Thursday July 6, 2017 at West Haven Manor in Apollo. She was born April 16, 1923 in Kepple Hill, Pa. the daughter of the late Charles C. and Fay Anderson George. Helen was a member of the Parks Twp. VFD ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Arlene Blystone and her husband Donald of Parks Twp., two granddaughters; Sherri Rago and her husband Tracy of Washington Twp., and Deborah Luke and her husband Denny of Kittanning, two great-grandchildren; Ashley Kohley and her husband Nickolas of Saxonburg, and Cody Aites of Washington Twp., three sisters; Betty Riggle of Leechburg, Alice Cook of Washington Twp. And Kathleen Kuruc of Parks Twp. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Harvey L. Wolford in 2000, a brother Donald George, and four sisters; Freda Schrecengost, Marie Coulter, Martha Blose, and Olive Lyons. Private visitation and services were conducted on Sunday July 9, 2017 in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 1916 Moore Ave. North Apollo. Pastor Robert Shallenberger officiated.
