Franklin David Carr, 77, of Moween passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019, at Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was born Saturday, September 27, 1941, in Derry, PA, the son of the late Albert and Nora Bell Bollinger Carr. Before his retirement he was a maintenance supervisor for the Blairsville/Saltsburg School District, and did carpentry work privately. He enjoyed country music, woodworking, watching westerns, working outside with his gator and his dump truck; but was happiest when he was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a devoted husband and family man. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Emma Jean Beacon Carr, three children, Sondra Carr, (Wayne Porter) of Moween, Michele Andree (Marty Fennell) of Moween and David Carr also of Moween. Ten grandchildren, Joseph and Jason Hays, Nicholas and Caitlyn Porter all of Moween, April Sage and her husband, Dustin, of Clarksburg, Amber Vazquez and her husband, Misael, of Saltsburg, William Andree, Jr., and his wife, Marti, of New Florence, Kristan McGinnis and her husband, Matt, of Blairsville, Joshua Carr (Chelsea) of Saltsburg and Marty Fennell, Jr., of Moween, a daughter-in-law, Vickie Carr of Moween and his brother and best friend, Glenn Carr, and his wife, Mary, also of Moween. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Carr, two brothers, Albert and Charles and seven sisters, Edith, Maggie, May, Marie, Gertrude, Genevieve and Bessy. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, from 4PM to 7PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home, LTD, 400 Indiana Avenue, Avonmore, PA. Services will be conducted on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 11AM in the funeral home with Pastor Lee Rupert officiating. Interment will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg.
