Eugene Theodore Dunmire

Eugene T. Dunmire 71 of Apollo (Allegheny Twp.)  went to be with the Lord on Saturday January 13, 2018 at his home. He was born June 1, 1946 in East Vandergrift the son of the late Samuel T. and Marie Agnes Barr Dunmire. Eugene was a United States Army Veteran having served his country during the Vietnam War. He was Honorably Discharged in June of 1968 and began working in the strip mines as a heavy equipment operator. Before his retirement he was employed by Kensington Manufacturing as a truck driver. He loved his family, fishing, hunting, eating out, trains and traveling out West. He enjoyed watching Gold Rush, Moonshiners, and Ice Road Truckers on T.V. He also enjoyed going to Learnerville Speedway to watch the sprint cars. He is survived by his  loving wife of 52 years, Connie J. Rearick Dunmire, four daughters; Kimberly Williams and her husband Greg of Vandergrift, Sheila Kardos and her husband Joe of Leechburg, Holly Gerardi and her husband Bill of Apollo, and Deanna Frampton and her husband Todd of Avonmore, twelve grandchildren; Jared (Kayla), and Jordan (Sarah) Williams, Jacki (Ray) Hill,  Joey, CJ, Guen, Summer and Bret Kardos, William and Laura Gerardi, and Austin and Arynn Frampton, four greatgrandchildren; Laya, Braeden, Jase, and Madeline, three brothers; Ray, Earl (Mary Ellen), and Melvin Dunmire, a sister, Nancy (Dave) Ziegler, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters; Lois Elias, and Carrie McGee. Family will receive friends on Tuesday January 16, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 1916 Moore Ave. North Apollo, Pa. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday January 17th at 11:0 A.M. Interment will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell and will be private.
