Dorothy Riggle

Dorothy Riggle 100, of Upper Saint Clair formerly of Philadelphia, passed away Monday October 2nd, 2017 at Friendship Village of South Hills. She was born September 21, 1917 in Parks Twp. the oldest daughter of the late Glenn W. and Florence Belle Porter Riggle. Dorothy was a United States Navel Lieutenant, having served during WWII. While serving her country, she was stationed in New York City, Washington DC, and Philadelphia. Dorothy was a member of the D.A.R., and was very active in politics. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Robert Dale Riggle, and William Glenn Riggle Jr., and a sister, Betty Jane Spahr. Family will receive friends on Friday October 6, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until time of services at 11:00 A.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 1916 Moore Ave. North Apollo, Pa. Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Reverend Phil Ramstad officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo.
