Dorcas E. (Miller) Shondelmyer

Dorcas E. Miller Shondelmyer 91 of Avonmore (Bell Twp.) passed away Friday March 22, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 13, 1927 in Saltsburg the daughter of the late Clinton and Mary Jane “Jennie” McCurdy Miller. Dorcas was a lifelong member of the Saltsburg Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a very active in their outreach, to those, in any kind of need. Dorcas enjoyed gardening, working outside and raising goats. She will always be remembered as a caring, loving wife, mother and grandmother, who exercised compassion in her everyday life. She is survived by five children; Richard Earl Shondelmyer and his wife Donetta of Edmond, Oklahoma, Beverly R. Owen and her husband Wes of Cedar Falls, Iowa, H. David Shondelmyer and his wife Ann of Avonmore, Barbara J. Fischer and her husband John of Swissvale, and Clinton W. Shondelmyer and his wife Tammy of Gap, Pa., Thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Tuesday March 26, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 400 Indiana Ave. Avonmore, Pa. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday March 27, 2019 at Noon in the Salina Bible Church, 4132 State Route 819, Avonmore, Pa. 15618. Pastor Clinton W. Shondelmyer will officiate. EVERYONE IS TO MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will be held in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
