Donna Jean (Sampsell) Zanavich

Donna Jean Sampsell Zanavich 76 of Saltsburg (Bell Twp.) passed away on Sunday January 14, 2018 at her home. She was born Wednesday June 18, 1941 in Hagerstown, Maryland the daughter of the late Donald and Violet Shearer Sampsell. Donna Jean was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Before her retirement she was employed as a personal care giver for many individuals. She enjoyed watching Lifetime movies, cooking shows, ID Investigations, and reading True Stories detective magazines. She loved to walk her dogs, but was happiest spending time with her family. She will always be remembered as a Loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Bernerd A. “Bernie” Zanavich, five children; Bernerd Zanavich II of Saltsburg, Karen Gould and her husband Paul of Saltsburg, Sonya Zanavich (Jason Hoffman) of Baltimore,  Maryland, Frank Zanavich of Saltsburg, and John  Zanavich  of Tinsmill,  two grandchildren; Justin and Brittany Gould, and her best friend,  Lynn Orvosh. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur C. Duffey. At Donna Jean's request all arrangements are private, and have been entrusted to the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 400 Indiana Ave. Avonmore.
