Curtis John Kesler

Curtis John Kesler, 86, of North Apollo, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at his home. He was born Friday, January 22, 1932 in Kepple Hill, Pa, the son of the late William H. and Grace S. Kirkpatrick Kesler. Before his retirement in 1997, he was employed for 46 years at Allegheny Ludlum at the Bagdad Plant. Curtis was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. When he was younger he enjoyed working with airplanes, he also enjoyed working outside in his garden, growing flowers and tinkering around the house. He was considered to have a real “Green Thumb”. Curtis was a loving and devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Joan Marlene Zeiler Kesler, a son, William Kesler and his wife Michelle of Kittanning, 2 sisters Ruth Shaeffer and her husband Ken of North Apollo, Etta Koch and her husband Wayne of Indiana, 5 step-children, William B. Moore of Pittsburgh, Patricia J. Marsh and her husband Barry of Alabama, Norman T. Moore  and his wife Debi of Tennessee, Paige J. Moore of North Apollo and Kimberly A Shellhammer and her husband Gerald of Ford City, 2 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren and 4 step greatgrandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Curtis J. Kesler, a daughter Paula Ann Kesler, 2 brothers Robert and Harold Kesler and a sister Loretta (Kesler) Ross. Family will receive friends on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 1916 Moore Ave., North Apollo, Pa. Services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Noon in the funeral home with Pastor Robert Shallenberger officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell, Pa.
