William Galo Jr.

William Galo Jr. 83 of Saltsburg passed away Wednesday August 3, 2016 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born May 24, 1933 in Saltsburg, Pa. the son of the late William (Sr.) and Anna Rossi Galo. Before his retirement he was employed by National Roll in Avonmore as a molder for over thirty years. Bill was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean War as an MP. He is survived by two children; Kerry Lynn Conrad and her husband Dave of Blairsville, and William Galo and his wife Kristen of Avonmore, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, two brothers; George Galo and his wife Joyce of Edmond, and Joe Galo and his wife Pam of Avonmore. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister in infancy. Private family viewing took place on Friday August 5, 2016 in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 400 Indiana Ave. Avonmore, Pa. Interment will take place Saturday August 6, 2016 at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell. Full Military honors will be held, along with parting prayer services. Father Salvatore Lamendola will officiate.
