Theresa Josephine (Rocco) Battistelli

Theresa Josephine Rocco Battistelli 71 of Saltsburg, formerly of Moween, passed away Tuesday July 25, 2017 at Mercy Hospital, in Pittsburgh. She was born October 25, 1945 in Sutersville, the daughter of the late James J. and Josephine Shimelonis Rocco. Before her retirement she was employed by Federal Laboratories in Saltsburg as a machinist. Theresa was a member of Saint Matthew Roman Catholic Church in Saltsburg. She loved to shop, watch QVC, jewelry, and was an avid walker. She is survived by her son, Rudy Battistelli and his wife Shawn of Saltsburg, two daughters;  Sonya Stancombe and her husband Scott of Penn Run, and Jaime Cooley and her husband Rich of Spring Church, nine grandchildren; Pete DeForno , Mike DeForno and his wife Mariah, Ashton Battistelli, Cortney Battistelli, all of Saltsburg, Tyla Stancombe of Penn Run, David Battistelli (Katlyn), Donovan, Delaney, and Danica Cooley, all of Spring Church, and  brother Michael Rocco and his wife Elizabeth “Cookie” of Saltsburg. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rudolph Battistelli in 1989, three brothers; Felix, Jim and Joe Rocco, and two sisters; Betty Wilson and Louise Rush. Family will receive friends on Friday July 28, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 400 Indiana Ave. Avonmore, Pa. Parting Prayer Services will be conducted on Saturday July 29, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. with Deacon Dan Frescura officiating. Interment will follow in Saint Matthews Church Cemetery, Saltsburg.
