Shelda Jean (Byrne) Ridenour

Shelda Jean Byrne Ridenour, 81 of North Apollo passed away quietly in her home on Friday March 16, 2018. She was born on Sunday September 27, 1936 in Ernest, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late George V. and Mabel E. Stiffler Byrne. Shelda was member of the Apollo Hose Company # 2. She loved spending time with her family, and especially enjoyed playing with her great grandchildren. She was a good friend to all, kind –hearted, and always willing to lend a hand or an ear to anyone in need. She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Ross R. Ridenour, three children; Shelby Miller and her husband Bruce of Apollo, Jerry Ridenour and his wife Linda of Washington Twp., and Janie McIlwain and her husband Barry of Shady Plain, five grandchildren; Jodie Edder and her husband Nick, James McIlwain (Alli Beveridge), Joseph McIlwain, Michael Dixon, and Jennifer Schaefer and her husband Jeff, five great grandchildren; Emma and Noah Edder, Julian, Madeline, and Andrew Schaefer, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ridenour was preceded in death by two infant children; Robert William (1955) and Deborah Ann (1956), and two sisters; Patricia Brunetta, and Joan Byrne (In Infancy).
