Russell Allen McCullough Sr. 88 of Iselin passed away peacefully Wednesday May 4, 2016 at Walden’s View Personal Care in North Huntingdon. He was born September 12, 1927 in NuMine the son of the late James L. and Olive Drew McCullough. Before his retirement in 1970 he was employed as a coalminer, working with both North American and R&P Coal Companies. Russell was a United States Army Veteran, having served in Germany during WWII. He was a member of the Iselin Union Church. He was an avid gardener, loved to watch and feed the birds, quilting, and reading the Bible. He is survived by three children; Regina “Jeanie” King and her husband Ray of Homer City, Cheryl L. Renner and her husband Gary of North Huntingdon, and Russell A. “Skip” McCullough Jr. and his wife Thomasina of Saltsburg, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, a sister, Clymenia J. Foringer, two brothers; James L. McCullough also of Conway and John “Cutty” McCullough of Dubois, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Betty L. Fisher McCullough, his second wife Dolores McCullough, a son, Randy E. McCullough, a grandson, Jeffrey Richard Vought, a great grandson, Alex P. Lonero, two brothers; Eugene “Cy” McCullough and Theodore J. “Stub” McCullough, and two sisters; Marmie Rhiems, and Vivian Patterson. Family will receive friends on Saturday May 7, 2016 from 1:00 P.M. Until time of services at 4:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 400 Indiana Ave. Avonmore, Pa. Services will begin at 4:00 P.M. with Military Honors provided by the Saltsburg Post #57 Honor Guard and Religious Ceremonies officiated by Pastor Lee Rupert. Interment will be held at Iselin Cemetery.
