Robert Kenneth Hilty

Robert Kenneth Hilty 85 of Spring Church passed away on Tuesday November 7, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 22, 1932 in Nowrytown, Pennsylvania the son of the late Kenneth Robert and Olive Stumpf Hilty. Robert was a United States Naval Veteran having served during the Vietnam and Korean Wars. He held the rank of Chief Petty Officer, serving his country for 22 years.  Before his retirement he was employed as a carpenter. He liked to fish, feed the wildlife, take long drives, truck pulls, and working on puzzles. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed “tinkering” with just about anything that needed fixed.  He is survived by two children; Brenda Marie Reilly and her husband Joseph of Spring Church, and Bruce Hilty and his wife Barb of Kepple Hill, six grandchildren; Sheila Hilty of Apollo, James Dickens of Arnold, Brianna Dickens, Alexandria Reilly, Gracie Reilly all of Spring Church, and Trex Hilty of Kepple Hill, two great grandchildren; Jaxson Healy and Sophia Hilty, and his brother James Hilty and his wife Elizabeth of Plantation, Florida. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Judith Marie Shirley Hilty, two Sons; Blair and Blane Hilty, and two Bothers; John (in Infancy) and William Hilty. Private Family viewing and services were held on Friday November 10, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. in The Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 1916 Moore Ave. North Apollo, Pa. Pastor Lee Rupert officiated. Interment took place at Fairview Cemetery in Spring Church with full Military Honors.
