Reverend Dana Osborne Craig, age 82, of Blairsville, formerly of Saltsburg passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at St. Andrew’s Village in Indiana, Pa. He was born on Friday, March 2, 1934 in Brookton, Maine, the son of the late Donald and Margareet Cameron Craig. He attended the University of Rhode Island in Newport, RI., The Pentecostal Bible Institute in New Brunswick, Canada and The New England Bible College in ME. He did missionary evangelism in places such as Honduras, Guatemala, Spain, Scotland, Africa, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic. He loved to read and study history. He qualified for the 1956 Olympics in track and field. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Nancy L Shermenti Craig, 4 children, Mark Craig and his wife, Becky of Atlanta, Ga., Cindy Lavertu and her husband, Dana of Bangor, ME., Cathy Bemis and her husband, Richard of Lavant, ME. And Lisa Winters and her husband, Reverend Kirk Winters of Bangor, ME, 7 grandchildren, 4 step-children, Joseph J. Shermenti III of Saltsburg, PA. Jill M Lickenfelt and her husband, Rick of New Florence, PA., Michael J. Shermenti Sr. and his wife, Susan of Saltsburg, PA. and Melissa R. Weaver and her husband, Russell of Vandergrift, PA., 5 Step-grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild, a brother, Norman Craig and his wife, Levola of Bangor, ME. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a half-sister, Fauna Small. Family will receive friends for a Memorial Service on Thursday January 19, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Kelly L.
