Melio "Neach" Bottali

Melio “Neach” Bottali 95 of Kiski Twp. passed away Friday October 13, 2017 at West Haven Manor in Washington Twp. He was born November 19, 1921 in Hicks Hill the son of the late Mike and Clementina Bernini Bottali. Before his retirement he was employed as a furnace operator at National Roll in Avonmore. “Neach” was a United States Army Veteran, having served in the European Theatre during WWII. He achieved the rank of Corporal. He was a member of Saint Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Avonmore. He was also a member of the Italian Club and the VFW Post 7901, also in Avonmore. “Neach” enjoyed hunting, traveling and his trips to the casinos. He is survived by two sons: David Bottali and his wife Monica of Avonmore, and Paul Bottali and his wife Amy of York, Three grandchildren; Ryan Bottali and his wife Katie of Avonmore, Zachary Bottali of Richfield, Pa. and Sophia Bottali of York, and two great-grandchildren, Gabe and Lucy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Louise Serventi Bottali in February of 2000, two brothers; Frank and Pete Bottali, and his sister, Mary Laurenti. Family will receive friends on Sunday October 15, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 400 Indiana Ave. Avonmore Pa. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday October 16, 2017 at 12:30 P.M. in the funeral home with Father John J. Harrold officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Avonmore.
