Mae Bell (Walters) Rowe

Mae Bell Rowe, 69, 0f New Kensington, Pennsylvania was born in Surry County, Virginia on December 20, 1946 to the late Russell Walters and Annie Lara Evans. She was the youngest of ten children. Mae was united in holy Matrimony to the love of her life, James E. Rowe on March 1, 1968. She was a loving and devoted wife of 48 years. She was preceded in death by four sisters; Frances Jackson, Catherine Ellis, Martha Walters and Annie Hawkins, and three brothers; Burrell Walters, Russell Walters Jr. and James Walters. On Monday May 23, 2016, Mae departed this life at her son’s home in Chesapeake, Virginia surrounded by her loving children. We know she is at Rest with our Heavenly Father. Mae leaves to cherish her memories with her husband, a loving son Al “Kenny” Rowe, of Chesapeake, Virginia, four devoted daughters; Shamese Rowe of Atlanta, Georgia, Shelly Rowe of Norfolk, Virginia, Lisa Brown of Atlanta, Georgia, and Jamie Rowe of Charlotte, North Carolina; Nine grandchildren; LaTeasha (Ashshon) Cunningham, Brice Hayes, Kenny Rowe Jr., LaSheri Dyke, Deja Benford, Kearsten Brown, Kelsie Brown, Aryanna Carter and Saniya Heyward, Four great grandchildren; Brandon and Jeremy Hayes, Keylin Rowe, and Giselle Cunningham, one aunt, Willow (Lamont) Ramsey of New York, one brother, Amos Walters of Richmond, Virginia, one sister, Mildred Pretlow of Newport News, Virginia and her special friends Trish Lewis and Innise Williams. Family will receive friends on Saturday May 28, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until noon in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 1916 Moore Ave. North Apollo, Pa. Services will be conducted in the funeral home at 12:30 P.M. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
