Leland Leroy Learn, 85, of Vandergrift, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville. He was born Sept. 12, 1931, in Vandergrift, the son of the late Guy A. and Margaret E. Buterbaugh Learn. Before his retirement, he was employed by Westinghouse as a technician for more than 30 years. Leland was a Navy veteran, having served during the Korean War. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vandergrift. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn L. Roy-Learn; a daughter, Delores Deltondo, of Plum; three sons, Richard Learn, and his wife Amy, of Meadville, Guy Learn, and his wife Colleen, of Florida, and Mark Learn, and his wife Amy, of Rostraver Township; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and five brothers, Charles Learn, of Washington Township, Robert Learn, of Virginia, Wayne Learn, and his wife Regina, of Shelocta, Glenn Learn, and his wife Gloria, of Florida, and Harold Learn, and his wife Helen, of Avonmore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Ron Learn. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of services at noon Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at the KELLY L. CORRIDONI FUNERAL HOME LTD., 1916 Moore Ave., North Apollo. Services will be conducted at noon in the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Mrasz officiating. Interment will be private.
