Joseph S. “Guzzy” Gozelanczyk 79 of Saltsburg passed away Saturday December 31, 2016 at Latrobe Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born April 14, 1937 in Slickville, Pa the son of the late Stephen and Mary Hilinsky Gozelanczyk. Joe was proud to have been born and raised in Slickville. He was a member of the Saint Sylvester Church in Slickville , the Slickville American Legion Post # 18, the Harwick Polish Club, and the Nowrytown Sportsmen’s Club. Joe graduated from Bell-Avon High School in 1956. He was in the army reserves while attending high school and after graduation went directly into the military (United States Army). He retired from Westinghouse in Cheswick. After retirement, he continued working with stained glass, his passion. He loved to design and custom build stain glass windows, lamps and other types of décor. He enjoyed drawing, painting, and woodworking, and almost anything that dealt with art. “Guzzy” enjoyed watching the History Channel, movies, and sporting events especially the Steelers.  He frequented the Slickville Legion and many of the local taverns to socialize. He had a great sense of humor. One thing for sure, Guzzy was always up for a good game of pool. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of forty years, Fay Vitali Gozelanczyk, two sisters, Wanda and Joanne Gozelanczyk, and two brothers, Edward and Thaddeus Gozelanczyk. He is survived by his son Jeffrey Gozelanczyk, of Saltsburg, four brothers; Richard Gozelanczyk of Pier Point, Ohio, Milton Gozelanczyk of Brecksville, Ohio, Steven Gozelanczyk and wife Kathy of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Donald Gozelanczyk of Chambersburg, a sister in law, Winogene Gozelanczyk of Greensburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a friend and companion, Luella Harpster of Harwick. Family will receive friends on Tuesday January 3, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00- 8:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 400 Indiana Ave. Avonmore, Pa. Parting Prayer Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday January 4, in the Funeral Home.
