James Lynn Boarts

James Lynn Boarts 77 of Avonmore (Kiski Twp.) passed away Monday July 11, 2016 at St. Andrews Village in Indiana. He was born February 7, 1939 in Natrona Heights the son of the late Harold and Emmagean Edwards Boarts. Before his retirement in 2001 he was employed by Canterbury Coal Company as a truck driver and equipment operator. He was a member of the Antique Car and Truck Club. He restored old trucks, loved to camp, and enjoyed spending time with his dog Chloe. He is survived by his wife Wendy L. Lawhead Boarts, seven Children; Timothy Boarts and his wife Cyndy of Perrysville, Kenneth Boarts and his wife Valerie of Lower Burrell, Jerry Boarts and his wife Melissa of Edmond, Susan McGuire (Don Shondelmyer) of Saltsburg, Lisa Mores (Kathleen Coridon) of Apollo, Bruce Tantlinger and his wife Jamie of Homer City, and Gary Tantlinger of North Apollo, fourteen grandchildren, and a sister Cheryl “Janie” Gromley of Clarksburg. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Dianne Boarts. At Jim’s request there will be no public visitation and all services will be private. Family suggests memorial contributions be made in Jim’s memory to a Hospice of their choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Kelly L.
