Herman Richard McCutcheon

Herman Richard McCutcheon 89 of Washington Twp. passed away Tuesday August 16, 2016 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. He was born August 15, 1927 in Oklahoma Borough, the son of the late Francis and Margaret Kestner McCutcheon. Herman was a member of the Apollo Bible Presbyterian Church. Before his retirement he was employed by Allegheny Ludlum (Leechburg Plant) as a crane man for forty two years. Herman was a United States Air Force Veteran having served during the Korean War. He read the Bible faithfully, loved to grow and take care of his flowers, and enjoyed watching animals in their natural surroundings, especially birds. He is survived by the Love of his life, his wife of sixty eight years, Lois May Yockey McCutcheon, a son, Reverend Keith McCutcheon and his wife Edna of Saltsburg, a daughter, Jennifer Tarpay and her husband Frank also of Saltsburg, three grandchildren; Heather Boscaino and her husband Nick, Danielle Dietrick and her husband Ryan, and Frank Tarpay and his wife Jessica, four great grandchildren; Sabrina Boscaino, Noah Dietrick, Nicky Boscaino, and Alex Boscaino. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters; Carrie Kestner and Millie Bowman and a brother, Francis “Bud” McCutcheon. Family will receive friends on Friday August 19, 2016 from 2:00-4:00P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 400 Indiana Ave. Avonmore, Pa. Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday August 20 in the Funeral Home with Reverend Keith McCutcheon officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
