Helen Louise Sharon

Helen Louise Sharon 98 of Shelocta, formerly of Saltsburg, passed away on Saturday December 9, 2017 at Indiana Regional Hospital. She was born April 21, 1919 in Slickville the daughter of the late John and Susan Martincek Sharon. Before her retirement she was employed first at Steiners, then at Federal Laboratories both in Saltsburg. Helen was a member of the Sons of Zebedee Lutheran Church in Saltsburg. She enjoyed going to the Sr. Center in Saltsburg, and “eating out”, especially at Ponderosa. She will always be remembered as a kind, simple, soft spoken and gentle women, who will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers; John, Paul, and Mike Sharon, and a sister Susan Urban. Family will receive friends on Monday December 11, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. until time of services at 1:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 400 Indiana Ave. Avonmore, Pa. Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Pastor John Ludwig officiating. Interment will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg.
