Edward James Jones

Edward James Jones, 68, of Saltsburg, passed away in Conemaugh Twp. on Monday, April 16, 2018. He was born on Sunday, September 11, 1949 in Saltsburg, Pa., the son of Joseph Jones and the late Jennie E. Pless Jones. Before his retirement, he was employed at National Roll for over 21 years on the labor gang.  Ed was a United States Vietnam Veteran having served with the 101 Airborne Division.  He enjoyed the outdoors and his tractors, racing, his Camaro and golf. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Althea Gail Patterson Jones, his daughter, Jennifer Marie Jones  (James Codling) of Reading, England, a step-son, Charlie Patterson (Kristy) of Saltsburg and his father, Joseph Jones, 2 grandchildren, Lucas and Logan Codling, 2 brothers, Gene Jones and his wife, Karen, of Indiana, Pa. and Daniel Jones and his wife, Anna Christina “Tina” of Washington, Pa. and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mother and a niece Kelly Jones. At his request, private services were held Thursday, April 19, 2018 with Pastor Lee Rupert, officiating and full military honors followed. Arrangements were entrusted to the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa.-
