Edith Valjeanne Wolfe, 84, of Murrysville, and most recently of Frederick, Md., passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at her home. Valjeanne was born in Saltsburg, Aug. 22, 1931, a daughter of the late Frederick J. and Florence B. Gould Morgan. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, get-togethers with extended family and friends, playing bingo, reading and sewing. She had a beautiful voice, loved to sing and was active for much of her life singing in choirs, choral groups and shows. She will be remembered most for her graciousness, sweet disposition, smile and kind words to anyone she met. She will be greatly missed by all. Valjeanne is survived by her children, Becky Turley (fiance, David Cather), of Frederick, Md., Barbara Polonsky, of Columbia, Md., and Bruce Wolfe, of Irwin; grandchildren, Megan (Jared) Cole, Christopher Turley, Alex Polonsky and Noah Polonsky, and great-grandson, Cameron, all of Maryland; her sister, Eileen Finley, of Florida; her brother-in-law, Alan B. Wolfe, of Espyville; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Jerome K. Wolfe, who passed away Jan. 11, 2014; her brothers, Arthur Morgan, Jack Morgan and Cyril Morgan; and her sisters, Elsie Ercole and Dorothy Reeger. Family will receive friends from noon until time of services at 2 p.m. Friday, June 10, in the KELLY L. CORRIDONI FUNERAL HOME LTD., 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, with Pastor Robert Shallenberger officiating. Interment will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an organization she cared deeply about, Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice of Westmoreland County.
