Dorothy M. “Dot” Olah 86 of Bell Twp. Passed away Sunday August 14, 2016 at West Haven Manor, Washington Twp. She was born February 23, 1930 in Tinsmill, Pa. the daughter of the late Steve and Elizabeth Geraldine Popp Olah. Dot is a member of the First United Church of Christ in Apollo, where she has served as both a Deacon and an Elder. Before her retirement in 1985 she was employed by Westinghouse Electric (East Pittsburgh) in the Accounting Department for over thirty-six years. She was also a member of the BPW, where she held the distinction of perfect attendance for 45 years. Dot was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Apollo Chapter, and was very proud of her 2009 Award from the Alle- Kiski Sports Hall of Fame. She enjoyed golfing, basketball, and family gatherings. Dot loved to garden, but was at her happiest spending time with her nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sister Elaine J. “Mitzie” Piper and her husband George of Perrysville, and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Joann Carnahan, her brother George S. Olah, and a sister in infancy, Grace Olah. Family will receive friends on Wednesday August 17, 2016 from 3:00 P.M. until time of services at 7:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 400 Indiana Ave. Avonmore. Services will be held in the funeral home at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor T.J. Lucas officiating. Interment will be held in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
