Denzel “Denny” C. Castle 88 of Apollo (Washington Twp.) passed away Saturday February 17, 2018 at his home. He was born September 23, 1929 in Apollo the son of the late James and Margaret M. Morrow Castle. Before his retirement in the mid 90’s he was the owner/operator and driver of Denzel Castle Trucking. Denny was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Apollo, The Masonic Lodge # 437 in Apollo, and the Syria Shriners. He was a United States Veteran of the Army-Air Corps during WWII. He enjoyed going to camp, hunting, fishing, and traveling. Denny loved to spend time with family and friends, and especially enjoyed playing with the family dogs. He is survived by a daughter, Mary Lou Harju and her husband Warren of Aliquippa, a sister, Virginia Huffman of Apollo, two nieces; Linda Siverling, and Cindy Walker, and three nephews; Danny Siverling, and Brian and Bruce Huffman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jean Spencer Castle in 2000, two brothers; Howard and Richard Castle, and two sisters; Geraldine Siverling and Margaret Castle. Family will receive friends on Monday February 19, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 1916 Moore Ave. North Apollo, Pa. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday February 20, at 11:00 A.M. in the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Apollo. (EVERYONE IS TO MEET AT CHURCH). Pastor Phil Ramstad will officiate. Interment will be held in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo.
